Weʼre raising £200 to Tony Glen is walking 100kms down the 'Camino Fisterra', beginning in Santiago and finishing at Finisterre in support of Monitors4kids.
Crowdfunding is a new type of fundraising where you can raise funds for your own personal cause, even if you're not a registered charity.
The page owner is responsible for the distribution of funds raised.
My name is Tony Glen and I work at Shoprite in Douglas. Earlier this year I walked the 'Camino Ingles' which is a walk from Ferrol on the Northern coast of Spain down to Santiago de Compostela.
I have decided to do another 'Camino' this time starting in Santiago and finishing on the coast at Finisterre. This walk is just under 100kms and should take a little over 3 days of hard walking which I will be undertaking from 19-22 October.
As a sufferer of Type 2 diabetes I thought this time I would look at sponsorship for others who suffer from this condition.
Fortunately I work with a lovely lady who is involved in a campaign (monitors4kids) to raise funding for continuous glucose monitors for children on the Isle of Man which will remove the need for children to do finger blood prick testing 10-12 times a day.
Please give generously for this worthwhile cause.
