Story
Campbeltown Army Cadets is a youth organisation which is part of Argyll (D) Company of the Argyll and Sutherland Highlanders Battalion ACF. Argyll Company plan to take 40 young people on a Battlefield Tour in France and Belgium in October 2018. Before we can do that we must raise in the region of £20,000.
2018 marks 100 years since the guns fell silent at the end of WW1 and we would love to allow our young people to mark this event in this very special way.
This will be a truly once in a lifetime, unforgettable experience.
Over the next few months we will be running several events in Campbeltown to raise funds but please its true what they say, every little does help.
The ACF is a youth organisation, we get funding for training equipment , resources and uniforms but rely on fundraising to take part in activities like this. We are not a recruiting step for the armed forces in any way, simply a youth organisation teaching the values of good citizenship, self confidence and assisting young people prepare for their future.
From the young people of our organisation thankyou so much in advance.

I think this is a great opportunity for our Cadets. I truly believe that by remembering the horrendous consequences of War in the past we have a better chance in preventing it in the future.
