Christmas 2013 my son Max was admitted into hospital with a swollen eye which turned into a brain infection, I was asked to sign papers to accept that he could have a stroke or worse die before his operation!

No parents should go through that but we did.

I will never forget the support we got as a family from Alder Hey who helped us through this very difficult time. As a result of him making a FULL recovery we decided to raise money and to buy what was needed on the ward, Id like to raise as much money as I can through having a bit of fun at the same time to do exactly the same.
