I am trying to raise enough funds to get my son's bike repaired.

Thieves stole numerous parts whilst his bike was locked up following his collapse in March.

He is very poorly and receiving treatment & his recovery is estimated to take up to 6 months.

His bike was returned to us but missing numerous parts.

Hargroves kindly assessed it and quoted £410 to get it roadworthy.but they just called to say it will be an extra £80 as the derailer was broken by the thieves.

I would never ask for help but my son's illness has meant that he has lost his business/office closes end of June.

So he has no income & possibly his only source of income will be benefits which is a long timely process.

He had worked hard to treat himself to his bike. It was not cheap, as he cycles everywhere and it needed to be safe/comfortable and built to last.

We cannot help with the costs, as I have used all my savings on paying our bills as i had major surgery 3 months ago and had no wage as company did not pay sick pay and now dismissed me.

If I could get his bike fixed up by his birthday which is 20th June that would be his best birthday gift ever.

I have not shown him his bike as we do not want to distress him whilst he is in such a vulnerable state.

I have the quote from Hargroves and further pics which i can provide.

Sadly not covered under insurance as we cannot prove where/when it happened.
