Story
I am raising money for Pinewood School in Blackburn which is for children with special needs and has both primary and secondary provision. This money will be used to help enhance the school experience of the children who attend this school.
Pinewood is a school that I have come across through my professional life and I work with parents who have children who attend the school. I also have a friend with a child who has Autism and attends the school. It is through these contacts that I have become aware of the amazing work that the staff at Pinewood do and due to the complex needs of the children, it is important that they have specialised equipment to give them the best experience of school as possible.
It is with this in mind that i have decided to take on 2 challenges. I am going to be "sober for October " and I will also run 5K every day in the month totalling 155K or 96.1 miles.

7 years agoI cannot thank you all enough for your donations. This means so much to me and is going to a great cause. Pinewood is a fantastic school and the kids and staff are amazing. In total last month, I ran 100 miles over the 31 days and now that it's November, I'm really looking forward to a glass of wine!! 😀😀 Thank you again for helping me smash my target. I can't wait to go back to Pinewood and give them their cheque. Carol-Anne xx
