    What is crowdfunding?

Crowdfunding is a new type of fundraising where you can raise funds for your own personal cause, even if you're not a registered nonprofit.

The page owner is responsible for the distribution of funds raised.

Volunteers in the area have taken on the task of trying to support Children and Young peoples activities in the Birtley area . The area has been left without positive social past times due to Local Government withdrawal of Youth Projects . Looking to fund these activities and also to employ qualified staff to support and guide young people. We also are aiming to set up our own fundraising initiative through a Community Shop and Internet drop in café which we hope will in time support the whole of the Community. For the short term we need to raise funds to continue Youth activities which are presently in place. Youth activities will include a Music Project for Young People, a Junior project and also support and help to individual teenagers who need guidance and support relating to many issues. Also Holiday period activities and outings to promote a positive use of leisure time.
