    Story

HI there. On the 23rd of April 2017 I will be running in the Virgin London Marathon. I have never ran a marathon before or ran anywhere near this distance so it will be a huge challenge. I was lucky enough to receive a ballot place but decided to use the oppurtunity to raise some much needed funds for 3 charities.
Gibside School is a local cause who are raising money for a hydrotherapy pool to be built on the grounds. Gibside are an amazing school who rely on funds raised through charity events to provide amazing facilities and education for children who suffer with disabilities and learning difficulties. I hydrotherapy pool would be so beneficial to the children who attend but they cost alot of money and they are still along way from target.
Farplace Animal Rescue is a local rescue centre based in County Durham. They have a no kill policy so all animals rescued are rehomed or taken care of in the centre.
They put animals first and campaign against hunting, animals in circuses and the badger killing. They to rely on donations to get by so would be extremely greatfull of anything I can raise for them.
Get kids going are a charity who I've raised money for running the great north run for the past 2 years. Get Kids Going! is a national charity which gives disabled children and young people - up to the age of 26 yrs - the wonderful opportunity of participating in sport. They provide specially built sports' wheelchairs so children can do: athletics, marathons, tennis, skiing, rugby, sailing, boccia, basketball, sledge hockey, table tennis, fencing, shooting, archery, powerlifting and many more sports. Get Kids Going! inspires British disabled youngsters to compete in sporting events, from start to paralympic level, by also giving them sports grants to help with their; training, physiotherapy, travel, competition fees, design and development of sports' equipment etc. they provide amazing oppurtunities for youngsters so any money raised would be a big help
