As most of you guys know I am a staff nurse at Royal Preston Hospital however most won’t know that I am a link nurse for bereavement.

Myself and some of my colleagues from both my own unit and the bereavement team from the hospital are taking part in the annual dragon boat race on preston docks on the 9th June.

We are hoping to raise lots of money to help support the Bereavement Support Group. This group aims to help people of any age who may be struggling with the loss of a loved one. The team meet informally on certain evenings to provide individualised support to anybody that may need it.

This is a very worthy cause and by donating it will help both adults and children to grieve and also encourage them to talk openly so that they can get the support they may need.

Any donations would be greatly appreciated and any support on the day would also be wonderful!
