Weʼre raising £3,000 to help build a shower/bathroom for our teenage foster children.

What is crowdfunding?

Crowdfunding is a new type of fundraising where you can raise funds for your own personal cause, even if you're not a registered charity.

The page owner is responsible for the distribution of funds raised.

I am a foster carer. I have been fostering for nearly 9 years. Over those years I have cared for many teenagers. (Mainly girls). I have also cared for teenage mums and their newborn babies and also babies. Initially we only had 1 spare bedroom. Since there is a major shortage of carers for teenagers we extended our home and built another 2 rooms. We have spent years saving in order to do it and have just managed to achieve it. We dont however have enough savings left to complete the extra bathroom that we have planning permisson for, for our teenagers. Therfore we only have 1 bathroom and as you can imagine a home full of teenagers really does need an extra bathroom. I am still in contact with the young people I have cared for as many are now living independantly and have their own family, and where they were once part of my family I am now part of theirs. Pleae help me continue to offer a home to teenagers within the care system. They are not there through their own fault and they also long to be part of a family.
