A 77 year old lady had £300 stolen from her handbag in Bicester on Wednesday by a young woman who purposely bumped into her to create a distraction. I saw her shortly after it had happened when she realised the money was gone, she was crying and very distressed.
This lady had only taken the money out from the bank a few minutes before. She told me she had taken more than usual as she had trouble getting out. She has nobody to help her and mentioned spending Christmas on her own.
I want to raise awareness of this crime to help prevent it happening to other members of our community. Also, I would love to be able to raise enough money to replace what was stolen and reassure her that people care. Ideally 150 people could donate £2 each
