Weʼre raising £500 to remember my mother, Veronica Gleeson, who passed away on 11th February. The money will help fund a new mini bus for Middleton School.
Crowdfunding is a new type of fundraising where you can raise funds for your own personal cause, even if you're not a registered charity.
The page owner is responsible for the distribution of funds raised.
My mother, Veronica Gleeson (nee Dillon), passed away on 11th February after a long battle with dementia. Several friends have asked if they could make a donation in her memory. Her greatest love was her grand children so I have decided to raise money for the Friends of Middleton School.
Middleton School opened as a Primary School in 1993 for pupils who have moderate learning difficulties, speech and language and communication difficulties and Autism. My children, Emilia Rose and Andrew, both attend the school.
With a capacity for approximately 80 children, Middleton School caters for pupils from 4 – 11 years with a wide range of needs including autism, speech, language and communication needs and a variety of other challenges.
The school also offers an Outreach service, which includes advice, support and training to local mainstream schools as part of Hertfordshire's response to inclusion.
The school are currently raising funds for a new mini-bus to help transport the children on their visits to locations in the local community.
