My daughter was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes in October 2016 and this has been a massive life changer for her and all the family. We have received massive support from family and friends and were also invited to join Diabetes UK Pembrokeshire group.

The group is designed to help children & families living with diabetes in the area.
They arrange activities/talks, where the whole family can be involved.
In the past they have arranged family fun days out at Folly Farm, Heatherton Leisure Park and Hanger 5, we have also invited guest speakers to come and talk to us about living with diabetes.
We were lucky to have Gavin Griffiths (Diathlete), who is a young man who takes on extreme challenges come and spend time with the group, he did an exercise programme with the children, which they all loved.
All these events have been covered by the group by any donations that they receive to keep these events going.
Mu husband and his friend are doing a 250 mile bike ride through Pembrokeshire, Ceredigion, Powys and Carmarthenshire to raise funds for this group
