    Story

Sue is one of the teachers at June Glennie and has known Mia since she was born.

As several of you have kindly asked if there is a collection for Mia we thought the easiest way was to set up a fundraising page to support her.

Mia is a beautiful, bright 19 year old from Beccles, Suffolk and a talented performer with the June Glennie School of Dance Lowestoft.

For those that do not know, sadly in June 2016 Mia was taken ill and diagnosed with a brain tumour, this has resulted in Mia undergoing major surgery in August at Addenbrookes Hospital Cambridge followed by extensive radiotherapy and ongoing further treatment since then to reduce this tumour.

Mia was due to join Laine Theatre Arts performing college in September 2016 to follow her dream but sadly she has had to put these plans on hold for the foreseeable future.

Fortunately Mia has a strong supportive family around who are all helping her come to terms with this life changing illness, as they too put their lives on hold to help her and take her on the many hospital visits to and from Addenbrookes.

The purpose of this page is to show our support to Mia and her family and to give Mia a really special secret treat this Xmas time.

So please if you can give any amount it would be extremely appreciated.

Any amount exceeding the target amount of £400.00 will be donated to Addenbrookes Hospital.

Thank you so much for your support and donation.

Both my daughters danced at The Glennies several years ago, we remember Mia being born and have memories of Sharon teaching whilst feeding her. We'd like to wish Mia all the best and a healthy 2017.
