“CASA HOGAR MIS AÑOS DORADOS” is a care home situated in Barquisimeto Venezuela. Care homes for the elderly should provide skilled nursing care, rehabilitation, medical services, personal care and recreation in a supervised and safe environment.

Unfortunately the government and private sector have abandoned this care home. The Venezuelan mega-crisis with shortage of food, medical services and services in general, such as the supply of electricity, water and gas make things even worse for vulnerable people.

Currently, the “CASA HOGAR MIS AÑOS DORADOS” hosts 21 elders, 4 women and 17 men. They do not have the necessary conditions to live a decent life with dignity and quality.

Our inspection confirmed that these elders need among other things: a cooker hob, water tank, mattresses, fridge, water filter, sink, dining table, chairs, washing machines, electrical repair, bathroom refurbish, medical supplies, diapers, cookware, bedding cloths, personal cloths, medical services, personal care, nursing care.
