This is not something I do lightly, but my mum has a diagnosis of fibromyalgia which is often misunderstood and people are not well informed. Her mobility has deteriorated since her initial diagnosis 4 years ago to the point she has to use a stair lift and only manages a walk from the car to the shop on a good day which will then cause significant pain and fatigue. This condition affects the whole body causing weakness, fatigue and pain. This woman puts on a brave face for us, several hundreds have been spent on adaptations, and 2 mobility scooters which were purchased second hand were faulty! Without a scooter she is limited, most weeks she is at home alone whilst her husband is at work and has no freedom to leave the home alone due to her physical limitations. She would love to go to the park with us or just out to the local shop on her own. Please help us buy her a NEW mobility scooter, one that she can use safely and reliably, and will give her some independence back. She has no idea about this (sorry mum). Any donation will help. Xxx
