Weʼre raising £10,000 to Support Graih, the Isle of Man charity helping the homeless and those in inadequate/insecure accomodation
Crowdfunding is a new type of fundraising where you can raise funds for your own personal cause, even if you're not a registered nonprofit.
The page owner is responsible for the distribution of funds raised.
Graih is a Manx word meaning love and charity that no-one can pronounce! It's a small charity based in Douglas in the Isle of Man, seeking to love and serve the homeless and those in insecure accommodation. It provides, among other things, a daytime drop-in facility where people can find a friendly welcome, and a meal, conversation and practical help and support. In early 2019, Graih added to this by opening a pilot Night Shelter, aiming to provide somewhere safe and welcoming for those who would otherwise be rough-sleeping; we're lucky enough to have Lottery support for much of this, but are some way short of ou first full year's funding.
