Raising money
for football
Through Crowdfunding you could raise money for specialist equipment, support staff, or supplies for football
Football is the most popular sport globally, and millions take part in football activities at a grassroots level. However there is always a need of funding, and equipment, facilities and even support staff are expensive commodities when their is little government support available.
Many football teams have turned to Crowdfunding to raise money for the supplies that they need, with teams using their fundraising to pay for new kit, trips to play in overseas tournaments, or facilities to play on. Here are some of the successful crowdfunding campaigns on JustGiving.
GB Deaf Women's Football team go to the World Cup
The GB Deaf Women's Football team needed to raise £10,000 to pay for their costs to attend and compete in the 2016 Deaf World Cup in Italy. They managed to hit their target and compete in the tournament. Their story became part of our JustGiving #LifeChangers campaign that appeared on the London Underground this year.
