Story
Our lovely Rachel was taken from us far too soon and very unexpectedly in January 2018. Everyone is so supportive and donations in memory of Ray have been received by South Lakeland MIND, the total reaching over £1000 and growing. Ray loved nature and growing stuff, she loved helping mum on the allotment too. It would be great to have somewhere to sit and reflect and enjoy memories of Rachel, hence this crowd funding to pay for a bench which will be installed at Nobles Rest in Kendal. Although the donations have been so generous already, could we raise the £550.00 to put this bench in place with a plaque .. Nobles Rest is a quiet place which has been recently been massively improved by the Friends of Nobles Rest and seems a fitting place to capture our thoughts and take a Ray of sunshine or two....

6 years agoThank you all again so much. The deposit for the bench has been paid and once ready will let everyone know about the installation. I have spoken to the lovely Kim at South Lakeland MIND and will present a very healthy cheque in due course. My heart bursts with pride and love that Ray knew so many wonderful folks!

6 years agoHello Rachel. My darling girl. You were a pain in the bum sometimes but a treasure and great fun for 99.9% of the rest of the time. You didn’t want to die I know from my text the day before, But see how much you are loved. Love goes on as does your legacy. If anyone reads this and makes them think again. It is success. Don’t let that hurt of a life taken too soon affect those nearest and dearest to you. Cherish what you have.
