Story
I am Catherine Andrew, a 15 year old student at Queen Elizabeth Grammer School in Horncastle, and am going to do a World Challenge 2018 in Costa Rica/Nicaragua and need to raise £3,400 towards the challenge!
Together with fellow trekkers, we will be trekking some 4 to 7 days through Rivers, Rain Forests, Jungles and Volcanic Mountain terrain, in temperatures up to 27℃ and carrying kits of tents, provisions, sleeping bags, boots etc.. It's a real challenge for experienced trekkers but for those, like myself, who think a walk around the park is strenuous, means I am going to have to draw on all of my personal strength and reserves to accomplish this arduous challenge, which can take up to 7 days to achieve!
I will be further challenging myself when we become involved in helping with a variety of building projects for one of the local communities. I could be involved in building a school class room, a water well, and/or a community centre!
I am organising and running Bingo and Quiz Nights, a kids school party, working weekends in a café, babysitting and various other events to help raise the £3,995. But I am also looking for sponsorship from local businesses too.
All businesses, who sponsor me, will be included on my T-shirts, which I will wear whilst trekking, in publicity photographs and material. A Newsletter will be posted on my World Challenge 2018 website (login details) updating Sponsors on monies raised, events and the actual trek.
I appreciate that during the year you receive numerous letters asking for donations/support for various charities and organisations, but I would be so very grateful if you could see your way to helping me achieve this very well worth challenge, so I in turn can help others.
