Story
Neil fell 50 foot after being abandoned and robbed by a taxi driver. He was found the following morning unconscious and rushed to hospital. His skull had shattered and he had several bleeds on his brain. He underwent surgery and was given three hours to live. Neil survived but needs 24 hour care as he is unable to meet any of his basic needs. Despite the odds stacked against him, four years on Neil continues to slowly improve his standard of living and has a life!
Neil is a very determined young man who has responded positively to private neuro-physiotherapy and is achieving goals we thought would never be met. We fund raise to pay for this. He would also benefit from speech and language therapy which is also unavailable to Neil on the NHS. He is improving all the time and amazes me every day with his strength, determination and wicked sense of humour!
We know his voice is still there as he is constantly laughing at us and himself! He currently uses an alphabet board and gets frustrated, being able to communicate verbally would be fantastic for him and we have to try and get the help he needs.
