Weʼre raising £1,800 to cover living costs after my husband’s company deducted £1800 from his monthly salary for a tax bill caused by their error.

Crowdfunding is a new type of fundraising where you can raise funds for your own personal cause, even if you're not a registered charity.
The page owner is responsible for the distribution of funds raised.
Last week, we received a bit of a shock when we found out that my husband’s company has not been deducting the correct amount of tax from his monthly salary. Apparently, this was due to an internal admin error in the company he works for and has resulted in us owing almost £1800.
We do not dispute that we owe this money. However, our request to split the £1800 into monthly payments that we can pay off over the coming year has been ignored and we have been told that the whole amount will be deducted at source, in one large lump sum, from his paycheck at the end of November 2018.
We have 2 young children, aged 5 and 3 and, although I work part time, losing £1800 from our monthly income will leave us with just a few hundred pounds to cover the monthly bills and pay for Christmas.
Both my husband and I have always worked and we don’t like asking for help from other people but I really don’t know what else to do.
Thank you for reading.
