A group of dedicated women are travelling into Cardiff once a week to supply the city’s homeless with hot meals.
The scheme, called Hope for the Homeless, was set up by Paige Williamson, She decided to do something after buying a homeless man a cup of coffee a few months ago.
Her mother, Julie Malki, encouraged her when she told her she wanted to go that extra mile.With the help of the scheme’s Facebook page, the duo have now acquired aid from other volunteers including Laura Shaw, and Tracey Barnard.
The women take it in turns to prepare the meals every week So with the help of money donations they can get extra things they need.
They also supply them with new underwear, socks, hygiene products that all comes out of their own pocket. This way they can buy more products, food, clothing and sleeping bags that they need to keep warm.
