Story
Since starting running earlier this year I have been lucky enough to take part in various running events with friends and colleagues from work. My main aim initially was to improve my level of fitness and my asthma. Both have improved so much, along with meeting so many other runners.
My biggest pleasure is running at a local Park Run at Llyn Llech Owain, Gorslas, Carmarthenshire on a Saturday morning in all weathers. The only thing missing is snow lol but I've no doubts that will put in an appearance this Winter.
I've run the route on several occasions and volunteered to give something back to the community. As part of that 'giving back' I am taking part in the MT 10 run which takes place at Pembrey Country Park, Carmarthenshire on 20th November 2016 along with a work colleague Gwyneth Jones to raise money to purchase a defribillator which will be kept at the park for who ever needs it.
The MT10 is a single lap 10 mile multi-terrain race arranged by the Sospan Road Runners through the beautiful scenery of Pembrey Country Park in Carmarthenshire. The course is a true multi-terrain and includes Tarmac, gravel, grass, forestry tracks and a lovely section along Cefn Sidan beach.

Thank you to everyone who supported me in raising money so a defibrillator could be bought for everyone's use at Llyn Llech Owain parkrun. The total amount of £1300 was raised. Thanks to everyone once again xx

8 years agoWell we completed the MT10 yesterday and enjoyed all the challenges that the course presented. The weather was fab and running on the beach was amazing. 8 years agoWell this time next week I will be taking part in the MT10 run at Pembrey Country Park with Gwyneth Jones. We ran a practice 10 mile run yesterday so we know we can cover the distance, we now need to complete the course on the day. Looking forward to the challenge. I completed the Richard Burton 10k today at Cwmafon as part of the training and looking forward to the actual event on 20th November 2016.
