Story
Please help us…
We are on another mission!! Last year, with the help of some incredible sponsors, we raised over £13000 to help those less fortunate than ourselves, in aid of the Causeway Foundation in Bangalore, by cycling from Land's End to Bourne End. This year, we’re doing it all again, only this time pedalling from Bournemouth to Bourne End (the long way round). Our route will take us west down into Devon, crossing Devon from south coast to north coast, over Exmoor, up Cheddar Gorge and over the Mendip Hills, then onto the Cotswolds, before finally heading for home over the Chilterns. A total of over 300 miles with 20,000 feet of climbing! We will be pushing ourselves further and harder than last year, with some particularly long riding days ahead of us.
Please could you take 2 minutes to see what we are doing and why we are doing this and please can you help support Team Causeway:
We recognise that not everyone has the same comforts, opportunities and privileges as us and although we cannot change it for everyone, we can change it for some.
The Causeway Foundation is a registered charity in India and was established in 2011 primarily to support and relieve the needs of the disadvantaged. It is supported by Causeway employees in both the UK and India .
One of the organisations that has benefited from the Causeway Foundation is the Infant Jesus Convent Health Centre in Bangalore. So far, we have provided funds and assisted with the building and conversion of a hospital maternity unit, providing equipment and by funding a full time on-site doctor. During 2016/2017 almost 7,000 people attended the clinic and since January 1st 2017 there have been 30 Causeway babies born within the clinic.
