This is a new Charity to support the Wellness and Recovery of people suffering with Mental Health issues which is accessible to anyone that needs help and support. It is a free non referral service and we are trying to raise the funds for the up keep of the building, running costs and materials, to make it a safe and secure environment for it's members. Changes Tamworth is a new independent charity that opened to the public in December 2016. We will be based at Lady bank Tamworth (opposite the Castle) but there is no restrictions of helping anyone from any area if they would like to attend. 1 in 4 people suffer with mental health issues and with so many places closing through lack of funding we fill a gap in society for people who are not on a care plan. The staff have life experiences of mental health issues themselves so fully understand the torment and isolation this can cause.
It is a 12 step recovery programme with emphasis on RECOVERY. This is a confidential service what is said in the building remains in the building, so people feel confident to express any issues that may be making them unwell.
