Crowdfunding is a new type of fundraising where you can raise funds for your own personal cause, even if you're not a registered nonprofit.
The page owner is responsible for the distribution of funds raised.
Well what can I say, this is all so new to me. So right now many people know me as Peter, But as you can see from my name, I call myself Leah. You know this was actually a suggestion by someone in my life who is super amazing.
So I have had issues with my gender since I was about 15, I grew up feeling odd, awkward, like something wasn't right with me.I hope this all makes sense, I am not used to writing about myself. I am now 32, I came out about 2 years ago and told everyone in my life I wanted to transition, but due to some personal issues I promised I wouldn't change.
So that promise changed about a month ago. I sat down with my partner and broke down, I told her everything, about how depressed I was and how badly it was affecting me. To sum it up, there was crying on both sides and I explained to her I couldn't even look in the mirror anymore. and this is where my journey began.
So as of right now. I am seeing my doctor and getting a referral to see a specialist. At least that is my hope. I am sort of new to it all and I'm both terrified but excited to finally get to be me. I can't wait to be able to look in the mirror again, do my make up, and just feel satisfied and special to myself.
Why am I crowdfunding? Well I want to get some things done that will help my journey. The first thing is laser hair removal. I hate body hair and it needs to go permanently. but I also want to look at other options such as surgeries and maybe having some things done privately and not on the NHS as I want everything to be perfect. God I hope that isn't not too pretentious.
Well to finish. Thank you, to any of you who do support me, my changes and my goals in life to not only change my appearance, but to have the chance to find myself again.
