My name is Léona McLoughlin and I am a 17-year old student from the UK, midway through my A-levels. I am planning to volunteer for 4 weeks in Córdoba in Argentina, the city with the highest rate of poverty across the country. Projects Aboard run many initiatives achieving much needed change for the better. During this mission, I will be working directly alongside other charities and agencies to support vulnerable people and communities including victims of domestic violence. By completing outreach projects, I will also be helping to combat child labour and child trafficking. Through the project, I will be promoting the right to education for all, a human right which I strongly believe in, by working with abused women and in children's shelters.

I feel privileged to have been raised in the UK and enjoy living in a safe society with the access and expectation of so many essential rights including access to education and healthcare. This project is an opportunity for me to give back and make a genuine difference to those far less fortunate than ourselves to many things we take for granted here at home. I hope that I will be able to work on other volunteering projects in the UK and abroad in the future. I would be extremely grateful to any donation you can make and thank you for reading!
