You have all heard me speak tirelessly about the work Durham University does in Zambia, and seen all the photographs of the children and volunteers who diligently support and sustain the projects. One of the volunteers I have been working alongside for a number of years is Staffson Phiri. He has contributed as a volunteer on many of the development projects in Zambia through our partner organisation Sport in Action Zambia. He is an inspiring individual who always strives to enthuse confidence and hope in the children he works with. He operates in very challenging situations and is always positive. Staffson is now seeking to further develop his skills and train to be a primary school teacher.
As part of a Christmas goodwill I am asking you all if you could consider making a small donation towards the primary school education training costs of Staffson.
His course costs are £340.00 per annum. Books and transport costs are £60 per annum. He is currently about to enter the first year of a three year course so the total to be raised is about £1200.
I would like to support him with some if not all of these costs. Should any of you be happy to support his education, please could you get in touch. I will be collecting all donations to send to Sport In Action Zambia, The NGO we work with in Zambia. I want to assure you that all donations will be secure, and I will personally assure they are received by Staffy the recipient. I will also personally ensure that you receive an acknowledgement for your donation, along with regular updates.
