    Story

    Hi my name is Chantelle,
I have set this fundraiser up in honour of my baby boy who was born very prematurely on 6th August 2016 at 21weeks and 5 days gestation.
He was a living, breathing, beautiful, perfect miracle!
Unfortunately because of his gestation and those awful guidelines on arrival to hospital they withdrew life saving treatment from Forrest despite my begging, and I had to helplessly watch my son slip away to be with the angels!
While on the ward I was given a little blue angel pocket to wrap him in, and two blue teddies, one to keep my baby company and one for me to hold.
I was also given a knitted butterfly, a candle and a few other lovely keepsakes.
These items were donated to the hospital by a local charity called Little Baby & Co and without them my baby would have suffered the indignity of being naked in his passing!
A short time before his funeral Little Baby & Co also sent me a little all in one romper outfit for Forrest to be dressed inside his little coffin and a duplicate for me as a keepsake.
They do all this for FREE!
The support I got from Little Baby & Co after losing my boy has truly been amazing and I'm so grateful there are charity's like them who make clothing for babies born too early for regular size clothing, too many babies are being laid to rest NAKED with no dignity and unlike many of the larger organisations they hold a specialist talent to clothe and bring dignity to early miscarried babies especially those born under 12 weeks gestation!
They are well established and have been running since November 2011 and donate to most local hospitals and many further up the country including a few over in America!
They do not raise enough money per year to meet the 5k criteria to become a registered charity and and struggle to keep the charity going on such a low budget, the vicious circle is that not many people will donate to an unregistered charity, at the moment they are in danger of having to close down!
