I've raised £3000 to donate, please go to my charity fundraising page at https://www.justgiving.com/fundraising/chariscambodia

I have recently been selected to take part in a trip to Cambodia in summer 2018 with Girlguiding . I will be representing the region of London and South East England. I will be going with 13 girls from the Senior Section and four leaders.
Whilst in Cambodia, we will be undertaking a service project with Khemara; the longest running NGO in Cambodia who play a significant role in the advancement of local women and children including giving them a chance to improve their lives, exercise their rights and participate in decision making, especially for those living in poverty. Khemara's aims are in line with the UN Sustainable Development Goal 4 “ensure inclusive and equitable quality education and promote lifelong learning opportunities for all”. We will be based at a day centre for children in Phnom Penh. We will be helping out with some renovation work and providing various care/community activities, teaching children English and doing arts and crafts with the children. We will also meet with a local Girl Guide group whilst in Cambodia.
Whilst in Cambodia we will also get the opportunity to learn more about the Khmer culture by learning some of the language and taking part in a cooking class and learning traditional crafts. We will also explore the rich history of Cambodia with visits to the temples in Angkor and visits to the Killing Fields Museum.
In order to participate in the project I need to raise at least £1200 to cover my basic costs for the trip. The money raised will go towards my flights, accommodation, food, visa, insurance and a group uniform. Girlguiding is kindly contributing a further amount.
I am just starting fundraising and I am planning various fundraising events over the next few months, including bake sales, charity auctions and badge sales. As part of my fundraising, I would be extremely grateful to receive a donation towards the total cost of my trip from anyone who is interested and would like to support this valuable initiative.
