Crowdfunding is a new type of fundraising where you can raise funds for your own personal cause, even if you're not a registered charity.
The page owner is responsible for the distribution of funds raised.
We are currently supporting Mobile Refugee Support and the Dunkirk Women and Children’s Centre as well as providing information and support to the 1000+ people currently living outside in Dunkirk.
We are asking for donations to support the power bank and Lumière projects (torches) as well as our tri-weekly waste management program.
As people are solely reliant on charities for access to electricity, torches and power-banks are vital pieces of equipment.
Our torches use rechargeable batteries sourced from laptops and other rechargeable devices and cost as little as 0.001p to charge compared with 20p per AAA torch reducing the charities running cost by hundreds of pounds over the course of the year
The donations raised through this crowd funder will be spent on the purchase of 18650 lithium-ion battery compatible torches and the supplies to build powerbanks. As well as a few litter pickers, bin bags and the running cost to print and distribute information.
