£500raised of £750 target by 12 supporters

Weʼve raised £500 to support the Uganda Rock of Joy Youth Mission 2019 by running the 2019 Chester 10k.

Funded on Monday, 8th April 2019

    What is crowdfunding?

Crowdfunding is a new type of fundraising where you can raise funds for your own personal cause, even if you're not a registered nonprofit.

The page owner is responsible for the distribution of funds raised.

In 2017, John Forsdick went on the Rock of Joy Uganda Youth Mission, spending 3 weeks in schools and their communities. In July John is returning as a Young Leader with one of the teams and Sophie is going for the first time, spending one of the weeks with the adult medical team as they run clinics in the areas surrounding the schools. They have both been busy making cards and babysitting to fund the trip and in March are going to run the Chester 10k along with their Mum, Christine Dutton, to raise the last few hundred pounds. We are grateful for all your support and continue to pray for everyone involved in the Rock of Joy Trust as they provide education and preventative health care for those in their care.

Thank you so much for your support and donations. We finished the 10k all together. Sophie and John have now reached their targets, and any surplus donations will go to community and health projects supporting the pupils in the Rock of Joy schools and their families.
