Weʼre raising £200 to pay for some new books for a local children's ward that will help them through the emotions of being in hospital
- Sutton-in-Ashfield, Nottinghamshire
Crowdfunding is a new type of fundraising where you can raise funds for your own personal cause, even if you're not a registered charity.
The page owner is responsible for the distribution of funds raised.
Ward 25 and Clinic 11 of King's Mill Hospital in Sutton in Ashfield, provide care and support for the children and young people in and around Mansfield. These areas see thousands of children each year with a variety of medical and surgical needs, including children with complex special needs, learning difficulties and mental health problems.
We want to raise money for these very vulnerable children, to buy books that will help them to deal with the reality of being in hospital and help them to understand what's going on in their bodies. We also want to tackle the subject of mental health by giving children the tools they need to help them overcome their fears and worries.
