My name is Charlotte and I am 19 years old. I have Ullriches Congenital Muscular Dystrophy, a trache and I use a powerchair full time.

I have had my current Powerchair for 7 years and am in desperate need of a new one. A couple of the functions are not working and this causes me pain being in the chair long period of time. It is also too small for me. It doesn't hold all of my equipment very safely and it doesn't allow me to be as independent as i would like to be.

I would like a Powerchair called The Dragon by Dragonmobilty, pictured above. This wheelchair goes right down to the floor which means that I can reach the bottom shelf in a shop, I can go down to my dogs level to stroke her and I can play with my younger cousins. It also means that I can travel at the same height of other people without compromising on the speed which allows me to have more independence.

This wheelchair costs £20,776! This includes the base and customised alterations, car docking system which will make it easier for my grandparents and carers to strap me in safely and care for my wheelchair.

A powerchair is much more than a way to move around. Without it I wouldn't be me.
