    Story

We are the Cheltenham Friends of the Samaritans, a local fundraising group supporting our local branch of the Samaritans in Cheletnham.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, all of our events have either been postponed or cancelled, leading to a dramtic shortfall in the donation we can make this year. This is a time when the Samaritans are needed now more than ever and we need your help to support them, so they can support your community.

We have been raising money for the last 40 years to support the Cheltenham and District Branch of the Samaritans, donating over £130,000 over these many years, keeping the branch well funded and supporting them with events. We run our own events such as The Cheltenham Craft Beer and Cider Festival, typically running in June each year and steward may more, such as the Roundtable Fireworks at Cheltenham Racecourse, Lechlade Music Fectival and Glastonbury Festival of Contemporary Arts. Find out more about us via our website.

Thank you so much for all your support! As well as what we have visibly raised on here, we have been donated: £500 from Winchcombe Rotary Club £1000 from Leckhampton with Warden Hill Parish Council! This will make such a massive difference to The Cheltenham and District Samaritans!
