Weʼve raised £827 to To save our puppy Olly

    What is crowdfunding?

Crowdfunding is a new type of fundraising where you can raise funds for your own personal cause, even if you're not a registered nonprofit.

The page owner is responsible for the distribution of funds raised.

    Story

Olly joined our family 2 weeks ago and was a bubbly bundle of love until Thursday night when he awoke at 2:30am and started having seizures. We rushed him to the out of hours vet where he continued to seize every 20 mins and eventually went into rolling seizures. The vet worked tirelessly and brought this under control and told us that he may be suffering from some type of toxicity. He has been being treated for this but today (19th June) we received the devestating news that it is a liver shunt and he needs surgery. Olly’s insurance isn‘t valid until 21st June and he is therefore currently outwith the timescale. Our vet bill is increasing (currently £2000) and that is before surgery. Any help would be greatly appreciated, i do not want to put our fur baby to sleep for the sake of money.

Update: The Vet has now said they have ruled out a liver shunt and we are back to possible toxicity. Olly is now blind (possibly temp) and has the odd “episode” of confusion. We visited Olly today and were told by the vet that he could come home on a strict medical regime. Thank you to all who donated, it will make a difference to the final vet bill.

Sadly our lovely Olly passed away yesterday after suffering another severe cluster of seizures resulting in major brain damage. He was 7 months old. Thank you everyone who helped us to get him this far.

Olly is doing really well and is responding to his medication. He has been seizure free for a week now and has regained some sight. We took some advice and got him a buddy who we named Rosco they will grow up with together and Rosco will become his helper sight wise. Olly has proven to be a wee fighter! Thank you again to all who donated!
