Crowdfunding is a new type of fundraising where you can raise funds for your own personal cause, even if you're not a registered charity.
The page owner is responsible for the distribution of funds raised.
My sister and her husband have been together for 12 years and married 4 years this year. They began trying to have a baby about 6 years ago, after trying for 2 years and no signs of it happening naturally they decided to speak to their GP about possible tests they could run to check their individual fertility. After a year of tests, they were told my brother in law would never have children of his own without assisted fertility treatment. So far, they have received 2 ISCI treatments within the same year but sadly neither were successful.
The NHS only allow a certain amount of fertility treatments free. My sister and her husband, who were living in Hackney at the time were entitled to two attempts funded by the NHS. As they have had both treatments last year they now have to find the money to fund their next attempt. This is extremely costly and entails many specific treatments. I am hoping with this page I can alleviate some of the financial pressure they are about to undergo in the hope of completing their family.
They are a loving, caring and kind couple who are blessed with many nieces and nephews, but, will never be complete without a child of their own. Watching them go through all the invasive treatments over the last few years has been tough, and I am hoping that by doing this it means they will not have an added worry on their shoulders.
For many people, we will never have to go through any of this to complete our families, so will never know how hard it is on a couple as well as the individuals. However, no matter the cost or number of treatments we would all go through it in an instant for the chance of our very own baby.
Never let the odds keep you from doing what you know in your heart you were meant to do - H. Jackson Brown, Jr.
I am now appealing to all my friends and family to help me raise the funds to assist them in paying for a new fertility cycle. No donation is too small, and all will be greatly appreciated.
Thank you all for reading and or any kindness and generosity shown.
