Due to popular demand Chislehurst and Sidcup Parents' Association has set up this page to accommodate all of the lovely people who want to support what we are doing in the fight against Covid-19

The ChisNSid DT department joined forces with the Parents Association to help supply Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) to our front line workers.

Here is the story so far...

We originally donated all of the PPE masks, goggles and gloves that we could find at the school. Next, with the help of Sophie Marnham, Bill Hudson, Barry Kelly, Zak Jolin and the Bennett family we turned to manufacturing full face visors - 70 were made and donated to the PRUH where no less than 6 ICU Doctors and staff from the mortuary came out of the hospital to thanks us, they were beyond grateful. Since then we have had further requests from front line staff asking us for more equipment. With the support of Simon Pugh (and his workshop) we are set to make another 850 over the coming days. But we're not stopping there, we've got hold of the design pattern for scrubs and we are busy sewing and making those too! Thank you Lauren Lynn, Tracey Aromolaran and Charlotte Gear-Chattam.

We are bowled over by the amount of willing members of the community who have been in touch, ready to help us construct the PPE

We have set up this page so that people can support us by donating money that will enable us to buy more materials and make more equipment, we are so pleased to be doing something useful at this extremely difficult time. We are continuing to get requests daily for our visors. Please help make a difference.

Any surplus money generated through this appeal will go towards other well deserving causes in our community.
