In July this year I will be embarking on a charity trip to India, through the charity Global Action. On this trip I will be helping to improve the lives of Tibetan refugees who flee Tibet, and come into India. I will be building water supplies, helping in an education centre for Tibetan and Indian children, and building a greenhouse in order for these young children to have healthy food.

As well as contributing to improving this refugee camp, I will be visiting other Indian villages, women's refuges and religious buildings. In the religious buildings I will be learning about the many groups living in India, and their belief and cultures.

Furthermore, through helping with local businesses and trekking through the Himalayas, I will be learning about eco-friendly tourism in India and fair trade. I will be learning about how people live, in conditions that are so different to those we are used to.

This trip is going to not only allow me to see different culture and begin my adventures abroad, but more importantly it will be benefitting those who live in the areas I visit. Water supplies and greenhouses for the children, and help serving food in religious buildings will help so many locals and Tibetan refugees by improving their living conditions.

In order to fund the final payment for this trip, I am running the Brighton half marathon on February 25th. I would appreciate any donations you could make towards this cause, no matter how small!
