Story
I am a second year Adult nursing student studying in London. I am Volunteering to go to Vietnam to work with and support children with special needs. As an Adult nurse I rarely get to work with children and I feel this experience will help me grow as a nurse. I am very passionate about this project, helping and woking with the children. I am looking forward to experiencing the difference in the care and compassion in Vietnam compared to care in the UK. This additional learning experience will give me an insight in caring for children and what the differences may be to adults. I am also hoping to explore the different cultures and city. As Vietnam is a vastly different culture to ours it will make me a more rounded professional in the care I provide working in such a different environment to the one I am currently experiencing in placement. It will allow me to gain a greater appreciation for different cultures that can help when coming into contact with patients due to the diversity of the UK culture today.
Any extra Funding will go to supporting the Children we will be working with given them the education and equipment that they need with there additional needs.
Thank You for Taking the time to read my story.
