Last year I was given an incredible opportunity to travel to Nepal with Atlas Travel Ltd and experience this diverse country. Whilst we were there I witnessed the amazing support work being carried out by Atlas Travel in conjunction with a local charity www.karmaflights.org, who have dedicated themselves to rebuilding and providing education to the worst affected areas that were hit by the earthquake not so long ago, most of the work carried out is by hand as these communities are too remote for the use of machinery.

Communities are still without basic needs, clothes, writing materials and the facilities we take for granted for our children everyday. Schools that were once standing are still piles of rubble years later and with no financial support from the Nepalese government for rebuilding or the education of the next generation, this is has been left to the generosity of individuals to help with their children's future and consequently their country.

This year Atlas Travel has been working hard fundraising and has put on another trip to Nepal (departing on the 5th October 2017) so that people can come and experience this amazing county for themselves. (not too late to come with us!) To coincide with this trip we have also planned to raise money for the Karma Flights charity and education projects by trekking to Everest Base Camp. The trip to Nepal and 12 day Trek has been completely funded by ourselves, therefore ALL the money raised and donated here will go directly to the KarmaFlights Charity. I have chose this option to raise money so that we do not lose high percentages in administration fees and the money can be deposited to where it will be most effective.
