Weʼre raising £3,000 to Fund a volunteering trip to Malawi to teach business skills to the women there who want to improve their families opportunities in life.

Crowdfunding is a new type of fundraising where you can raise funds for your own personal cause, even if you're not a registered charity.
The page owner is responsible for the distribution of funds raised.
After over 20 years of running my own small businesses whilst bringing up my daughters, I discovered that inspiring, coaching and training those with the entrepreneurial spirit was not only my passion but my purpose in life. The trip is being organised by Orbis Expeditions and The Responsible Safari Co.
Since then I have helped 100’s of small businesses come to life.
As a result of this, I was contacted by Charles Handy (author) and his wife Liz (photographer) who had just returned from documenting the wonderful work of Peter Ryan who had launched a Microfinance Loan Scheme to help the poor women in Malawi start small businesses.
Knowing that I too could make a difference over there, a similar trip to Malawi to work with female entrepreneurs has been very high on my ’to do’ list. Therefore, I jumped at the chance to join the Female Entrepreneurs Expedition to Malawi in October, when invited to do so back in June.
Malawi is one of the poorest countries in the world, and still faces many adverse conditions, that most of us in the western world have assigned to the history of the third world countries, not continued everyday reality.
I have less than 12 weeks now, to get fit, overcome my fear of snakes and raise the £3,000 needed for me to make this trip to offer my support and knowledge to these women. Oh, and jump out of a plane as part of my fund raising activities!
In my mind, that could easily be achieved from 600 people donating just £5.00 each? (Or more if you would like to.) If I was lucky enough to raise more, I would use any extra funds to help start some of the businesses, I am hoping to inspire.
I am also currently setting up an online training company for entrepreneurs, and plan to donate a % of each course sold to support these women in the future.
If you would like to help me to make this happen by donating just £5.00 to follow my progress and see what a difference your donation will make, please donate today and follow me on this new and exciting journey.
As a fairly private person, I am well out of my comfort zone with this, so please support me in anyway you can, and share this page with others.
Thank you for reading this message.
PS. When I looked up Charles and Liz Handy to share this exciting news with them, I was shocked and saddened to learn that Liz was in a fatal car accident in March of this year. So, this trip is also in memory of an amazing and talented lady, who spent much of her life also helping others.
