The main cast of this film are black. The idea of the project is the valorisation of the black race with strong characters and free from the Brazilian cinematographic sameness where black are always slaves, bandits, Slum dwellers. The script points to the valorisation of the black actor in Brazil and to some extent in the world. The nine main actors are black. The black being valued and making people thrill with the life of the central character of the movie. A sensitive man, worshiped and extremely dedicated to a great love of childhood.
In order to have this film taking off we need raise about £3.000, however, my target is of £2.500, Max the producer and writer of the film have found problems raising the money because even thought we have had wonderful generous people helping some of the potential sponsors were not happy with black being the main central characters in this film even thought the script is wonderful, however, the project is so good that all the talented wonderful actors will do the film for no fees as well as the wonderful and popular director Bellamir Freire that have been involved in a number of high profile projects in Brazil and two production companies Globo Cine and 35mm productions are giving their time and efforts for free as well as costumes and location are all donated.
We just need some money to help pay for the transport and technical part and without it the film won't be able to be made. We are more then ever determined to help specially due to the prejudices and racism that the project has faced as well as because it will be a beautiful film.
