    Story

    What is Agnes's Field?

The Life Way Orphanage at Kisii in Kenya provides 26 children with a happy family home, food, clothing and education. The home needs an additional 2 hectares of land to grow enough food to feed the children. They are in the process of buying 'Agnes's Field', within walking distance of the home. As part of the deal, they will receive free fertilizers, free irrigation and free pest control.

    Why help?

The local people in Kisii are working hard to raise the money to buy the land in the photo. But they need our help to raise enough money to buy it.

Help us raise £3000 to buy 'Agnes's Field' so these young children don't go hungry. Any amount - large or small - will help us reach our target!

Please share our fundraising campaign on Facebook and Twitter. Many thanks!

Chris & Jenifer Taylor - on behalf of Life Way Orphanage, Kisii, Kenya.

Our appeal ends shortly so we want to say a big THANK YOU to everyone who has helped to buy 'Agnes's Field'. We've raised £3300 (£1300 online & £2000 directly) - the full amount needed to buy the new field for the orphanage, and some special Christmas food & other items for the children. The crops are growing well - the beans should be ready to harvest in January & the maize (see the photo) at the end of February. So "Many Thanks" from Pastor Zachariah, his wife Agnes & us. Jenifer & Chris - on behalf of the Lifeway Orphanage, Kisii, Kenya.

Exciting news! The seeds planted during September in Agnes's Field have turned into fine, healthy plants due to good rainfall (see the photo). Thanks to your help, the beans and maize will soon be ready for harvesting, and the children at the Life Way Orphanage in Kisii will have plenty to eat. The balance of the field's purchase price has to be paid soon. Please help us raise the funds needed @ https://www.justgiving.com/crowdfunding/christopher-taylor-4 Many thanks! Chris & Jenifer - on behalf of the Life Way Orphanage, Kisii, Kenya.
