Story
I am wanting to fundraise for a very dear friend of mine Lisa whose husband Chris (soon to be 59) has suddenly been diagnosed with terminal cancer & starting chemotherapy on Friday 29th Sept. We don't know how he will respond to treatment but we are currently optimistic & hope he can be around to annoy everyone for some time yet! They have been married 19 years & have an amazing family!
He has 5 amazing children Claire, Craig, Sam, Oliver & Melissa who are my main inspiration for this page! I would love to enable them to have some memory money so they can do what they want, when they want , with their dad or for their dad! Whether its going away, eating out, take away in or days out - have quality fun time together & maybe tick a few things of a bucket list!
I dont know at this stage if my target amount is unrealistic but I know Lisa, Chris & the kids have an amazing amount of people who love them as much as I do & will want to support them. There will also be lots of you out there who will sadly relate to this?! So please if you can donate anything or share the page to spread the word - lets all get together & hopefully allow a wonderful kind & loving family to have some truly memorable moments together.

6 years agoUpdate from Lisa continued (fingers crossed things allow him to enjoy quality of life).... This will mean another couple of chemo sessions to make him eligible...and we don't know when that will be. There are also other trials he may be able to take part in... So for the moment, the next month looks much the same and here's to seeing his energy levels improve quickly so he can function better and get a better quality of life after that.

6 years agoUpdate from Lisa - Chris had Chemo No6 Thursday and he also continues with the chemo tablets for another 3 weeks. They have reduce his dose because he was getting so exhausted and have decided that his body needs a break from chemo for a while out of concern that his liver and kidneys won't cope. He has a CT scan sometime next week and we get results in 3 weeks. They are hoping to give him immunology treatment at some point moving forward. Continued in other post

I met Chris's wife Lisa when our boys went to 1st school together 12 years ago! Since then the family have become a very important part of my life & love them all dearly. They are all so kind & loving & help people whenever they can - hopefully now I can do the same for them! ❤️
