Story
Im sure you're all aware that our church was subjected to horrible and thoughtless Graffiti recently. Although the church has insurance to pay for the clean up there is an excess of £250 to pay. This is valuable money the church was saving towards the bell tower to be refurbished. It would be a great help if we could all chip in and get the church cleaned properly. It would also be a great symbol of our local community pulling together, something Im sure the perpetrator was working against.

6 years agoThank you so much to everyone who has donated and been so generous. It's fantastic news that we have reached our target! This money will be given over to the church treasury so they can use it on the insurance excess for the church cleaning. A professional restorator is coming on Wednesday (28th) morning to look at the damage.

The church was designed and construction supervised by Robert Hooke who by then was Secretary and Curator of Experiments at the Royal Society and City Surveyor for reconstruction after the Great Fire of London in 1666. Willen church was built around 1678 - 1680
