Story
During August this year I will be travelling to Uganda for 4 weeks to take part in an education fellowship with LRTT. This will involve working as part of a team of teachers to deliver workshops and professional development opportunities to our Ugandan counterparts. I am lucky enough that going on courses and having many opportunities to develop my practice as a teacher are an expected part of my job. In many other countries, teachers are not given these opportunities. However the LRTT programme provides teachers in developing countries with the opportunity to find out about different approaches to teaching and learning and put ideas into practise in a supported environment. After delivering workshops, I will then visit the teachers in their schools and help them to put the ideas we've discussed into practise with their own classes.
