Story
Bailey is a 14 year old boy who has some obstacles in his way in life but always trys his best eventhough most daily tasks can be a challange for him. Everyone that knows bailey knows this journey is going to be the biggest Challenge in his life but he is determine to try his hardest to achieve it but he does need some help on his journey from friends and family and the public too. Bailey has been given an amazing chance to go to kenya for 4 weeks in the summer of 2020 with his school wingfied academy and the camps international. As well as having this opportunity to visit an inspiring country its also a trip of a lifetime for anyone let alone a teenager. As well of fundrasing bailey will also gain new life skills of a lifetime grow in confidence and maturity, learn to plan and budget ,and also develop loads of new skills like time keeping, budgeting and balancing school work and fundraising activities also will boost his CV and learn new skills. Hopefully bailey will make an incredible impact for the local communities, wildlife and enviorment that will last for a lifetime.
On this expedition in kenya bailey will be using his communication skills, demonstrating his ability to work as part of a team also problem solving and experiencing new life challenges as he travels around this country to undertake a range of new activities like....
Environmental protection- digging animals watering holes, deworming livestock and helping rangers protect wildlife from poachers....
Sustainable livelihoods- making elephant poo paper and flip-flop key-rings which the local people can sell to support their enterprise....
Healthcare & sanitation- improving the health of the whole community through installing and improving local amenities....
Housing- Building houses from local materials....
Education- Building new schools and classrooms....
Food & water security- Installing new water facilities to provide fresh drinking water to the local people....
Once this expedition is completed bailey will be able to earn additional UCAS points through completing the certificate of personal Effectiveness (COPE) level 3 Awards, which will go towards his application to university in the future. The cost for this once in a life time trip to Kenya...
*Expedition fee- £3940.
*Vaccinations- £200. +
*Travel to & from airport- £140. +
*Personal kit- up to £500.
Bailey will be forever grateful for any help given during his journey to get him to this lifetime opportunity to kenya xxx

5 years agoBailey is doing great he’s writing up letters and asking business for some help towards his goal... like sponsor to have their logo on T-shirt’s when he’s doing sponsored he will wear the tshirt... also making leaflets to do little jobs around our area in the school holidays... if anyone has any ideas please let us know any idea that will help will be appreciated Xx
