hi im clare.. as many of you know Langefest was set up in memory of stuart lange who tragically died in a motorbike accident nearly two years ago... I was a friend of stuarts so want to help raise funds
i am running the Frome 5k race on Sun 15th july which to some doesnt seem.a vast distance but here is my story
nearly 5 years ago i fell down some steps and injured my back...at the time not realising i had actually fractured my spine
it got so painful i couldnt walk without sticks..after losing 4st in weight i was eventually diagnosed with a fractured spine and had major spinal surgery in which a cage and screws were put in my spine to repair the fracture
4 years on and im fit enough to go to the gym and have discovered a love for running..so on sunday 15th of july which by coincidence is stuarts birthday i want to run this race in his memory and at the same time raise so funds for Langefest who are sharing any money raised with the somerset and Dorset air ambulance and Lisas army both very worthwhile charities
