On the 26th October 2016 at a routine 28 week scan myself and rob was informed that our baby girl was showing up to be very small how small we were not told until we were admitted on the maternity ward.
We were informed that Savannah was only weighing 550gs at 27 +4 weeks and that the blood flow from the placenta to savannah had reduced and later reversed. I was then was transferred to Liverpool due to bed shortage before arriving at Birmingham Women’s late on the 31st October.
Savannah was delivered by emergency c section on the 1st November 2016 weighing only 620gs (1lb 5ozs)
Savannah was then transferred to Newcross Hospital 4 days later where she stayed there for a further 2 ½ weeks before returning to Russell’s Hall where she stayed for the remaindered of her stay and finally got to come home on 16th January 2017 11 weeks after she was born.
We are so grateful for the care these neonatal units have given Savannah that we want to give something back as a way of thanks for looking after our princess.
Savannah is now 4 months old now n weights 6lb 3ozs xx

Our hospitals don't get the recognition they deserve and to have helped bring Savannah safely into this world and helped her for those precious first weeks of life, no amount of money can compare.
